How to Manage Asset Systems

The Asset System is part of the asset functional hierarchy and is a useful grouping for organising your assets

This article is for FMI Works users who have been given the permission of System Administrator

The Asset System structure is part of the asset functional hierarchy as follows.

While the Asset System is optional, it is recommended that it is used to organise asset data for effective asset management and reporting.

Go to the Administrator module and select References > Asset Data.

On the Asset Reference Data screen select Asset System.

To add a new Asset System, type details into the New Asset System field and select Save New.
To modify an existing Asset System, scroll through the list to find the system to be modified, click within the field, and change the description. Then select Save Changes.
To delete an Asset System, select the cross beside the relevant line. This option will only be available if the Asset System has not been used against an asset record. Select OK to confirm the deletion or Cancel if you do not wish to proceed.
