Set up time zones so that activities are time-stamped with times applicable to your timezone
This article is for FMI Works users who have been given the permission of Works Manager
Why use time zones?
In FMI Works, important activities are time-stamped for auditability. Examples include, the date a work order or asset was created, or a change was made to the work order.
If timezones are not set up, the default (UTC+10:00) will be used and, depending on the Site location, , the scheduled start and completion times may not be accurate.
Getting started
Time zones can be set at the Site level when setting up site locations or added afterwards.
To set the timezone for an existing site, go to the Services module and select Locations > Location Summary.
Select the pencil icon next to the location’s Site Name to edit the record. This will open a separate Site Details window.
Adding the time zone
From the drop-down filter next to Site Timezone, select the site’s correct time zone, and then Save.
UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time. It is a standard used to set all time zones across the world.
