As part of our internal deployment processes, we test and upgrade customers on our cloud environment collectively on an advertised schedule
This article relates to our FMI Works product, when delivered as a cloud solution
What is the current release schedule?
Our software release schedule is set annually in advance. The current release schedule is monthly, on the third Thursday of each month.
Do software updates require an outage?
Our software updates require an outage. For planned outages, our outage window is 6pm-10pm AEST/AEDT in the Melbourne, Australia time zone. Within the outage window, we typically see downtimes of less than an hour.
As per our Support Services Guide, we provide 5 business days’ notice of planned outages. Notification is sent via email, noting that customers who have unsubscribed to emails will not receive notifications.
What happens if there is an unplanned outage?
We will provide updates on any unplanned outages on our current outages page.
Are release notes available?
Details of our software updates are detailed in our release notes, which are posted in the help centre on the day following the release.
An email is also sent to customers on the day following the release, noting that customers who have unsubscribed to emails will not receive notifications.
What if I am not receiving outage and release notifications?
To receive product update emails, contacts must be subscribed and opted in to the relevant distribution list(s). If a contact has previously unsubscribed or opted out of email, they will not receive outage or release notifications.
In addition, in order to make sure we’re not emailing people who don’t want to hear from us, the system will automatically stop sending emails to disengaged contacts. A contact is considered disengaged if they have not opened the previous 12 emails sent to them, equivalent to 6 months’ worth of release notes and outage notifications.
Sometimes, this happens because emails have gone directly into a junk folder. To minimise the risk of emails landing in a junk folder, add marketing@fmiworks.com to your email address book.
If you or your team are not currently receiving outage and release notifications and would like to, please contact our team.
