Follow these steps to create a new user in FMI Works
This article is for FMI Works users who have been given the permission of System Administrator
Overview
There are two steps in the user creation process.
1. The user is created as a contact.
2. User permissions are assigned.
New users can be created manually by system administrators by following the steps below.
Step 1: Contact creation
First, select the type of contact you would like to create.
- Employee = an internal employee of your organisation.
- Supplier employee = an external contractor.
- Interested Party = an internal or external party who will receive notifications about work order progress. A contact can be both an employee, or supplier employee and an Interested Party, if the employee or supplier employee needs to receive notifications about work order progress.
Step 2: User permissions
For instructions on how to assign user permissions, see the instructions in User Permissions.
After a user's permissions are assigned, an email invitation will automatically be sent to the user with instructions about how to sign into FMI Works.
